The European consortium Biorecover decided to launch an awareness campaign on the role of Critical Raw Materials (MPC) in the daily lives of European citizens, as well as on its importance for the sustainability of the Economy and potential risks in terms of supply. The European Union is highly dependent on these types of minerals, which are essential for its growth and competitiveness, but which represent important challenges in terms of their availability and extraction.
The Biorecover project aims to develop an innovative sustainable strategy for the recovery of MPCs from primary and secondary sources. The MPCs with which the project works have been grouped into three categories: rare earth minerals, magnesium and platinoids.
